Please pray for Haley this morning. She needs to see the new doctor this morning and not September 14. Can't go into a lot about it right now. IF you put your pray request here I can print them and give them to Haley.
The gift of a child is amazing! They come into this world tiny and helpless and completely dependent on someone to care for them, yet they are able to wind your heart around their tiny finger.
I believe God gives us children to remind us of what we are like to Him. As long as we are dependent upon Him, He is able to provide our every need. Just as children grow into the "me" stage, we adults spend much of life's journey concerned about ourselves. Then when life's difficult moments come along we are forced to become dependent again. That is when we either turn to the Lord or we stubbornly look for other ways to ease our pain or fix the problem.
These past seven years, watching Haley deal with her difficult life journey, I have learned that in her world, joy and heartache often go hand in hand. She readily acknowledges that "Jesus loves me". and will tell you that He lives in her heart. In the simple world of a child, when they have a hurt or have a need, they quickly turn to a parent or care giver for help. Haley simply expects those around her to help and care for her and she rewards them with a grateful smile and precious hugs. May we all learn to be more like Haley.
The next time you have an opportunity to help a child, remember the verse, "If you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me".
